Volkswagen Master Technician

As a Volkswagen Master Technician at Parkway Volkswagen in Kettering, you will serve as the senior technical authority within our busy workshop. This is a pivotal role within our aftersales department, dedicated to resolving complex diagnostic challenges and upholding exceptional standards of repair across our customers' vehicles.

Working in a modern, well-equipped facility with access to the latest Volkswagen diagnostic systems and tooling, you will play a central part in both customer satisfaction and team development. Alongside your diagnostic and repair work, you will act as a trusted point of guidance for our service technicians and apprentices, helping to foster a supportive, quality-driven workshop culture.

• Carry out advanced diagnostics, systematic fault-finding, and complex mechanical/electrical repairs on the Volkswagen vehicle range.
• Ensure all repairs meet strict manufacturer warranty and safety standards.
• Perform routine servicing, major unit overhauls, and EV/Hybrid high-voltage battery diagnostics.
• Support, mentor, and upskill junior apprentices and lighter-skilled technicians in the workshop.
• Complete transparent customer video health checks, to explain necessary work clearly.
• Liaise effectively with Workshop Controllers and Front-of-House Service Advisors.

• Officially accredited Volkswagen Master Technician status (or equivalent VAG Master/Diagnostic qualification).
• NVQ Level 3 (or IMI equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Proven dealership experience with a deep technical understanding of VAG engines, gearboxes (DSG), and electrical architecture.
• Full UK Driving Licence.A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to "right first time" workmanship.

• £40,000 basic salary with uncapped performance bonus/OTE.
